The Real Food Company is committed to providing our customers fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables grown with the use of sustainable practices. We have direct buying relationships with many local and state-wide certified organic farmers. We supplement this direct buying with purchases from local organic and conventional wholesale markets. Many of our teas, coffees, chocolates and other various products are Fair Trade Certified. Dairy products and eggs are from hormone-free livestock. A large selection of micro-brewery beers and fine imported and domestic wines are available. Our meat department sells hormone-free top-quality meats and authentic imported items. Meat alternatives and dairy-free items are extensively spread throughout the store in many different categories from ice cream, to soy or rice milk, to rice, almond, and soy cheeses, and soy-based deli meats and jerkies. Our vitamin department carries natural, herbal, food-based, and homeopathic health supplements and remedies. There are many natural beauty and hygiene supplies such as toothpaste, skin creams, lipstick, makeup, deodorants, shampoo, and soaps.

Health and Beauty 10% Off Wednesday
All items in the health and beauty department are 10% off for the entire day each Wednesday. 

Vitamins 25% Off Day
Once a month on a Saturday everything in our vitamins department is marked down by 25%.

Senior Discount Day
If you are over the age of 62 years, you can get a 10% off discount on your entire purchase. The Polk Street and Fillmore Street stores both offer this discount all day Tuesday and Thursday of each week.

MUNI Rebate
As an incentive for using the city's public transportation system, if you ride the bus to either of our stores, we will give you a discount of $1.50 on any purchase over $30 when you show us your monthly pass or daily transfer ticket.

Bag Refund
To help reduce unnecessary wasteful use of plastic and paper bags we offer a bag refund. For each bag you re-use to package your purchase at our store, we will give you 10 cents off of the total of your sale.
